every parent dreads that phone call from school when the teacher says, "mrs. rauch, we just thought you needed to be aware..."
apparently robby was displeased with the lessons plans at daycare for the week and decided that fire safety education would be a nice way to change things up. as niki put it, he thought a guest speaker was in order. so how did he accomplish this?
by. pulling. the. fire. alarm.
in his defense, who thinks it is a good idea to set a 2 year at a table next to the fire alarm?! lol.
so, they girls at the daycare learned an important lesson, robby got a fire safety speech (after which he tried to pull the alarm again--apparently it takes 2x to learn the lesson), and the fireman got to run into a non-burning building of ankle-biters (thank you, uncle jesse for forever making that term funny).
i'm pretty sure this one of those moments when parents start out telling the other one the story with, "YOUR son..." because you want to make sure they know that the kid got this from them and not you, right?
i love being a mom. and i enjoy mothering a son so much more than i ever thought possible.
