crib notes

he's no baby monster anymore. mommy's monster had graduated to the big boy bed. and without any problems (knock on wood) so far! he goes to sleep every night without getting out of bed, and when he wakes up, i think he still thinks he's stuck in the bed because he just sits up and hollers for me. it's the cutest. he's very excited about his monster sheets, too. everything is monsters lately.

it was bittersweet for me. i loved the excitement of taking him to pick out sheets and watching him get excited about the big bed. but it was sad to see daddy taking the crib apart and realizing this is not a milestone that we can turn back. he has spent his last night in a crib and now will forever sleep in beds. it's almost like this was taking away one of the last few things that make him "my baby." the last thing that truly makes him a "baby" are the diapers... for some reason, i'm not so sure i'll be as sad to see those go. time will tell i suppose
